NYC apartment hunting – what $2000 will get you in Manhattan
New York’ sektion lige her.
English / Lately I have been checking out quite a few apartments in Manhattan. Not that I am about to move right now. I am still studying and I’m not planning to move before I have finished my studies and found a full-time job. Although you should not go searching for your next apartment months in advance here in NYC I just thought it was nice to start checking out the market now. It gives me the chance to explore the different areas and to being able to compare prices. What you get for your money can definitely vary a lot from Mid-town to Harlem to Brooklyn to Chinatown etc.
I am sure that most of us are aware of the fact that New York City is an expensive city to be in. However people often get surprised about exactly how little you are able to get for your money here. People are definitely willing to settle with pretty dumpy places for the convenience of having everything outside their door. Myself included it seems. The video I have shared in this post is the first in a series I call ‘NYC Apartment Hunting’. I think you get a very realistic picture of what you can get for $2000 in Manhattan. I hope you enjoy it! If you have any questions, please write them down in the comments below and I’ll get back to you ASAP!
BTW did you guys know that I have an entire section on my blog dedecated to NYC only? You can find my ‘New York’ section right here.
